NOFX TOUR IN THE FALL
Hello everyone,
I'm fresh out of the van after a long drive home from our wknd stint on this year's Warped Tour. Although the lineup this year was over-saturated with long hairs and girl's pants, there were some lights at the end of the tunnel. Thanks to everyone involved with the Union Stage, all the bands who played up there with us and everyone who came out to show their amazing support. On long, wild fucking days like Warped Tour daze, that's what matter in the end, that people are still coming out for the music. Aside from the Union Stage, cheers to the Bouncing Souls, Set Your Goals, Against Me, The Bronx, Protest the Hero, The Aggrolites, Street Dogs, and Broadway Calls for being there and showing true punk rock colours. I hope I haven't forgotten about anyone, so sorry if I have.

We are beyond ecstatic to announce that we'll be colliding once again this year with NOFX in October. Eastern Canada and USA, prepare yourselves for an onslaught party rolling through your town this fall, especially because everyone's favourites Dillinger Four will also be in tow. None of us ever thought we'd be this ass-lucky, so fuck yes. A gigantic fuck yes! Check out the dates on our page, and also keep in mind that there are a couple still to come.

Start growing your beard out too because we've just announced that we'll be taking part of the drinking and musical festivities that will be The Fest 7, this Halloween weekend in Gainesville. Thanks to Tony and everyone for inviting us back this year. We cannot fucking wait!

now that our new news is old news, i'm finally going to give in to slumber...

LESS THAN JAKE CANADIAN TOUR!
A formal greeting to all,

On this day we are very excited to announce that we will be hitting the road for a very quick Canadian tour with Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish and The Real Deal (Stomp Records newest dudes) in September. Our legs will be feable and tired after all that fucking dancing, so come out and have fun with us when the show rolls through your town. Check our page for dates. And for you curious Torontonians and Montrealers, we will not be playing in your great cities with LTJ, however we do have big exciting plans, which we can't officially speak of yet. So sit tight, because there's a whirlwind coming. Ahhh the power of withholding information... Now I get it!

Thanks to everyone who watched us at Edgefest this past weekend. We may not be alleged junkies or play uninteresting power-rock-DJ-metal, but we did still manage to have a blast on Saturday even though we didn't fit in. Cheers to Hostage Life and Attack In Black for being homies. Cheers to all our friends who came to spend the day with us. Cheers to the Edge for having us out. Cheers to Barry Taylor being the most fucked up I've ever seen him, and clearly enjoying himself. And cheers to the stage crew who were all amazingly helpful and genuinely friendly individuals. What a long, funny day it was.

Onto preparing for near-death this weekend at Warped Tour...

PS- go see the Ceremonial Snips and the Saint Alvia Cartel at the Sound Academy this Friday if you live in Toronto!

2000 VOICES TOUR UPDATE #2
Greetings from a hot and smelly van, somewhere en route to Winnipeg. We've been sun-bathing like tiny ants through the giant magnifying glass that is our windshield for almost 9 hours now, and the sun may be finally getting to me. I can hardly stay awake, but I'll do my best to bring you up to speed on the 2000 Voices tour. since our last tour blog we had an extremely bromantic moonlit BBQ at Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia on Monday night with Strike Anywhere, Hostage Life and the Atticus crew. A drunken and teary-eyed time was had by all, leaving everybody feeling all warm and happy on the inside. We then ventured out to Cape Breton for our very first time and were thoroughly educated on the proper accent to possess while out there. A big FUCK YEAH THANK YOU is in order for the hospitality we experienced while we were on that particular side of the province. Thanks to everyone who came out to the show in Halifax at Hell's Kitchen (a very, very cool bar with awesome pizza), and especially to Paul's sister Nat for letting 6 smelly people crash with her for a few days. You're the best! The East Coast leg also became more of a road hockey tournament than a punk rock tour, but hey... you can never take yourself too seriously.

Moncton was a blast as always. Cheers to the bar staff at the Manhattan for being genuinely great human beings, to Chris from Iron Giant for ruling at life and to our favourite Maritimer Dana at Cutthroat Pizza for providing us with a generous serving of his famous "Poutineza" (poutine pizza). This is the greatest pizza I have ever had, and after devouring half of one of these wacky Poutineza's, I felt like how a king would feel. I'm sure of it. Evidently, the mixture of dough, tomato sauce, gravy, fries and cheese curds is an empowering one. Thanks so much to everyone who came out to the Moncton, Quebec City and Ottawa shows on this tour. Although it was sad these being the last three shows our brothers in Hostage Life were doing on the tour, it had been a while since we'd played in any of those cities, and OH how good it was to get back. By the end of this leg, ourselves and Hostage Life essentially formed a new band, either called Hostage Liners or Flat Life (the latter of the two coming off as just a bit too prepubescent for my tastes), doing very high-profile cameos in each other's sets for various tunes. It was potentially head-exploding shit, so if you witnessed any of this happen before your very eyes, consider yourself a survivor. I witnessed one of the most badass things to ever happen on stage when Thomas from Strike Anywhere joined Hostage Life on stage in Ottawa to cover "Clampdown." We'll miss you Ho Life, but have no fear. Next thing you know we'll be suffering from severe dehydration and intoxication together at Edgefest. Bring your party boots and we'll bring your merch and Hai Vu's guitar!

We played our first ever show in Timmins last night, and holy shit what an amazing surprise it was. Timmins definitely gave Ottawa a run for it's money for the title of "Most Ridiculously Sweaty Show on This Tour" and proved to us that we've found a diamond in the rough among the rigors of Nothern Ontario. Thank you everyone in Timmins for completely blowing our minds. Carpenter is back on the tour now as well, who rock hard and are a very refreshing kind of band to play with, so be sure to check them out. Thanks again BIG TIME to Strike Anywhere for bringing us out on this tour. They're a fucking ferocious band and solid dudes all around. We couldn't be more excited about a tour around our home.

We've announced some more summer shows, including a bunch of FREE SHOWS all over the country starting with July 1st (Paul's Birthday) in Medicine Hat, AB. We'll also be playing Rock the Mill this year with some wicked bands so check that out too, cause that shit is free.

We've also posted a photo album of photos from the 2000 Voices tour thus far. Click the link to check out the 2000 VOICES PHOTO ALBUM.

This one's going out to the Atticus crew, who broke an axle and got a gnarly flat tire all in the span of 72 hours. Keep mellow friends.

Loving life,
-chris

2000 VOICES TOUR UPDATE #1
Hello from the van! We're back home in Canada, the land of expensive gas. Since our last tour blog, we took a boat to Sweden, didn't go to Finland, hung out at an amazing bar in Berlin called the Franken (where afterwards I apparently terrorized the city to some extent, damaging precious personal properties), and finished up our European tour with a fucking bang in Berlin with our new friends Rentokill and Astpai, and the Wilwarin Festival in Ellerdorf. We were bummed though to hear that our fellow Canadian turned-Swedish Danko Jones played the day before us at Wilwarin. That Danko fellow seems to be going the way of Shania Twain as of late... A shitty deal for the entire everything. we'd like to extend giagantic thank you's to Sir Edward Boning in all his glory, Mr. Dorian "Precarious Aquarius" Findlay, Chrisi at Weird World Booking, everyone at Muttis, all the amazing bands we played with and new friends we made, and everyone who showed us the best hospitality we've ever experienced on tour. Thank you for coming out to the shows, taking care of us, singing along and blowing our minds. What a blast that tour was, and no one can wait to do it all again so keep your eyes peeled. Also peel your eyes on a bunch more photos we just uploaded to our Euro-Tour photo album.

We're driving into New Brunswick listening to Versus God as I write this all down. We started the Two Thousand Voices tour with Strike Anywhere and Hostage Life two days ago in Toronto, and its been all smiles since then. We feel very lucky to be on tour with these great bands, and it'll be an awesome cap to an almost 5-month long tour for us. Thanks to everyone who came out in Toronto to welcome us home and see us off again. This Is A Standoff also played, and man do they rip. Slay even. Carpenter, Aspirations and The Delinquents rounded out the show, making for a party night. Montreal last night was a great time as always. After hanging out at Foufounes Electroniques so many times, it was really cool to finally play there. Our apologies to the under 18 crowd, but we will be back in Montreal for Warped Tour in July, and hopefully again soon after that. We've been going through withdrawal from your beautiful city, so we'll make it right! I've can taste the Poutineza we'll be eating in Moncton in a few days. That's Poutine on pizza folks. Wrap your heads around that! Very stoked to get back to the East Coast. Very very stoked. Very.

ALSO! This may be old news to some, or most, but we just posted a show we're all very excited about. We'll be playing with Rancid and H2O at the Kool Haus in Toronto on August 2nd. The show is already sold out, so we hope you fall under the "most" category I mentioned earlier. !!! The day after that we'll be fighting dirty campers and most likely drinking and getting sunstroke with Hostage Life at Cutting Edge Music Festival in Grand Bend. August 3rd!

ontourforever.

BLOODY HELL ENGLAND!
We're on our way back to Germany after spending 4 glorious days in the UK, a stop in France and our first time in Luxembourg last night. All the shows have been great, thanks huge to everyone who's been coming out and singing along. Its really amazing to us to see so many people singing with us at all these past shows. Every city we play on this tour is our first time visiting and we've been shown such a great amount of support, it makes us smile. The Bristol and Exeter shows were great, and we got to play with some more awesome bands. We played our second show with Rentokill in Bristol, who I mentioned before are sweet. Before the show we all hung out in the club listening to reggae and drinking Red Stripe from tall cans. Amidst that, some of us would wander off and check out some of the amazing graffiti all over the buildings in the city. We also played with three cool bands in Exeter: Scavenger Type, Shapes and OK Pilot. They were all very unique in style and when put together on a bill, it made for a great fucking show. The Cavern, in Exeter, is a really cool club too. Awesome paintings on the walls, awesome beers at the bar (most notably the giant bottles of Newcastle, which makes me jealous because they're commonplace in England), awesome people and an old weirdo who would hung out all day slumped over what looked like an old foot rest, jotting away on a piece of paper, only wearing a long kilt. No shirt, no shoes, probably no underwear... Just a kilt. After the Exeter show, our badass tour manager Ed the Duck drove 15 hours overnight, including a ferry ride to France no one seems to remember much of other than us pissing off half a boatload of people because we took up most of the room sleeping sprawled out. In Nancy, France we started our 3-day mini-tour with PO Box, an incredible ska/punk band from the same town. We've had the pleasure of playing the last 2 nights with them and they are one of the tightest bands I've seen in a while. Definitely check them out because you won't be able to get enough of that shit.

Last night we conquered new territory in Luxembourg, where we drank tall cans all night that only had "beer" written out in 7 different languages on one side and a drawing of a pint glass on the other. The PO Box/Flatliners poker tournament came to a hault when we all realized it was time to play. Thank you to everyone involved in the show last night, because we had a blast. And special thanks to our buddy Diorgano and Versus You who ordered us wicked cheesy pizzas today and let us wash our smelly clothes in his cool flat.

I am stoked we're heading back to Germany. I've got 2 bathroom coupons to use for a coffee or something. Yes, that's right... for those of you who don't know, you have to pay to use the bathroom in most rest stops in Germany. Fucking weird! Check out the EURO TOUR 2008 photo album we just posted.

EURO TOUR PHOTOS!

There are already tons of photos and there are tons more to come!

stoked as hell

EURO-TOUR BLOG!
We have reached Euroland!!! Our first ever European tour has been a blast so far, with some great shows and some even greater hospitality. Our first day in Cologne we were fed Vietnamese food at a place called "Kim Phuk" with Dead to Me and then ran over to the club to play. The kids were singing along louder than the PA, so I'd say our first European show was a success. And then Dead to Me hit the stage and blew our minds as usual. We headed to a bar after the show where Scott and I defended Canada's honour in a best-two-out-of-three Nations Battle of feusball between Canada and the USA, leaving Chicken and Nathan from Dead to Me in our proverbial dust. We are still friends though, don't worry your little heads! Our reign didn't last long when the next game consisted of us getting our asses served to us by a couple of locals. We'll have to keep practicing.

The next day we played in Schweinfurt with A Wilhelm Scream and Red Lights Flash and had a blast drinking gigantic beers all night, watching friends bands and telling everyone of the importance of the Toronto Blue Jays in '92 & '93 with Brian from AWS. Apparently there's a large American military base in Schweinfurt, so there were tons of huge American dudes romping around trying to ruin everyone's day, but the show was still fun. After the show we headed overnight to the Groezrock Festival in Belgium, which proved to be the longest day of our lives!

After loading in around 6:30 AM, we played at 10:30 AM at Groezrock and the entire tent was full of people, which caught us all severely by surprise. It was definitely the most fun I've ever had at 10:30 AM! After our set we opened a couple Belgian bartenders' minds to the wonders of Jager-Bombs and were feeling a bit giggly by around 11:30 AM. What a day! Scott ended up playing a German fellow in a Karaoke game to the tune of Queen's "Having A Good Time" and whooped his ass! Whoop! Scott knows every lyric to every Queen, Bon Jovi and David Bowie song though, so the guy really didn't stand a chance. Tons of great bands played Groezrock, including The Loved Ones, A Wilhelm Scream, Face to Face, Bad Religion, Planet Smashers, Cursed, Bouncing Souls, This Is Hell, and the list only goes on. I think today was one of, if not the biggest and earliest show we've ever played. Cheers to Groezrock! And after our long day we ended up staying at a hostel that doubled as a middle-aged Swingers bar, which as you can imagine is a frightening thing to be around.

We spent Sunday on the Seine River in Paris, playing on a scorching hot boat with The Loved Ones, drinking little French beers and eating some great food. The show was a blast and left us all sweaty and gasping for breath. Afterwards we did some touristy shit and saw Notre Dame, Champs d'Elysées and the Eiffel Tower all in one shot. Us being four kids from Canada, we were stoked as hell. Thanks to our friend Till from Guerilla Poubelle and his girlfriend for letting us stay with them after the show and taking good care of us.

Yesterday we took the ferry across the English Channel and finally arrived in the UK after years and years worth of anticipation set in. Our first show in London was fucking incredible, and was easily one of the best and most fun shows for us ever. The crowd was amazing, singing along to every word and requesting songs left, right and center. We can't express our appreciation for everyone in London enough for showing us such a great time. It seems we've been planning a trip to the UK for years now and now that we're finally here we can't get enough! We got to hang with our friend Nicole too who none of us had seen in a long while since she moved to Norwich. Thanks for coming out Nicole!

We're in Bristol tonight with a great band called Rentokill, definitely check those guys out. Our heads seem to almost explode at every corner on this tour from sheer excitement, so hopefully we'll make it home alive! Thanks so much to everyone who's come out to the shows so far and taken care of us. We can't thank you enough!

Tons of tour photos coming very soon!! So keep on the lookout for that. There's just so many to sift through.

Much love from Europe!

PHOTOS FROM OUR NEW VIDEO!
IMPORTANT NEWS LADIES & GENTELMEN

We just posted a photo album with a bunch of behind-the-scenes photos of our video shoot for "This Respirator", and a bunch of stills from the video itself. The video was directed by the oh-so debonair Davin Black of 235 Films, and let me tell you... this guy is a keen director and a blast to spend a very long day with. Not many people in his position would be as open to allowing us our undying input as he was, and for this we thank him from the bottom of our pasty, Canadian hearts.

The video should be online in the next 24 hours or so, so sit tight. But for now...
CHECK OUT THE PHOTO ALBUM

We'll be posting tons of request info for all of you who continue to support our band and make us smile contently once the video is posted, and then we will attack mainstream media like never before. Stoked as balls. Hope you are too!

UPDATE FROM THE TERMINATOUR
Salutations!
We're in Deadmonton, AB tonight preparing to play the slick and buffed floors of the Avenue Skatepark. The couch I'm sitting on has that super-worked-in vibe to it, which I like... but my suspicion is that it has been 'consummated' on if you know what I mean, which I do not like. Oh well... oh well.

The Terminatour started off with a bang in Victoria. Thanks to everyone who came out the show, making it the third time we've tried to get there and the first time we actually arrived! This is history in the making people. We had a blast on the island and honestly can't wait to get back. The last Punk Night ever at Garfinkels in Whistler was a complete shit-show of a good time, and to all those who put their drink down to get sweaty with us, we appreciate it more than you know. To all those who kept sipping their drink, hey, we understand. Thanks big time to Lindsay and everyone at Garfinkels. Middle fingers to the Delta Hotel for towing our van away. Poor Paul had to go retrieve our dear friends Harrison Ford and Tim the Tool-Man Trailer while the rest of us scored free coffee and GOURMET chips and salsa at the foot of Blackcomb Mountain. Bangin! Last but not certainly not least, thank you so much to everyone who came out to our show in Vancouver on Monday night. We know its not the best night of the week for a show, but you guys showed us a great fucking time, and we won't forget it. Mad respect to some homies from Seattle for making the trip!

In other news, we've been overwhelmed with people sending us live photos of our shows, so we put together a small photo album on our MySpace to showcase some of these badass photographers. Thank you so much to everyone who's sent stuff in. Check out the photos:

LIVE 2008!!!

This one's going out to our brothers and sisters in The Rebel Spell. The Terminatour's been a lot more entertaining so far than Arnold Schwarzenegger ever could be. Even in that movie where he does drugs.

NO SHITTY APRIL FOOL'S JOKES, TOUR UPDATE FROM THE BUILD & BURN TOUR
Greetings from the Build and Burn tour! We've been having a blast with The Loved Ones and Cobra Skulls from the Midwest to the West Coast, and are getting pretty bummed that the tour is almost at its end. Thanks so much to everyone who has been coming out to the shows and showing love and support for our band and the other great bands on this tour. We were extremely excited to fill our day off yesterday with a house show in Pasadena, because otherwise we would have missed The Loved Ones and Cobra Skulls dearly. Thanks bigtime to Tara for throwing the show in her living room, and to everyone who came out and sang along with us.

A picture speaks a thousand words, and some far more intriguing and sophisticated than I can muster up, so check out our photo album from the Build and Burn tour on our myspace.

CLICK HERE FOR THE BUILD & BURN TOUR PHOTO ALBUM!

Every time we hit the west coast the shows seem to get better and better, so we'll definitely have to make it out again sometime soon. The biggest thanks of all goes to The Loved Ones for bringing us out with them. One of our first ever US tours was with them, so its definitely been a fucking treat to be reunited with those gents. And as for the Cobra Skulls, their name speaks for itself. BADASS!

positive vibes people, positive vibes!

ITS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION...
...that I am an asshole. This update goes out to one man only: Our favourite Frenchman Sam Thifault. Amidst the last "massive tour update" I neglected to include the fact that our favourite Separatist from Quebec had to fly home after SXSW and head back to reality. Sam was our tour manager and stage manager on the Fat Tour, and he did a damn fine job at that. This guy works harder than anyone I know and never ever stops going. The punk rock Energizer Bunny if you will. He kept us on our toes like a fine oiled machine and for that we are very grateful and in his debt. He's also the life of the party and definitely knows how to rage, so that's a huge fucking plus! Anyone who's job it is to wake the four of us up every morning for weeks on end deserves a gold medal, and Sam's at the top of the acceptance list. A gigantic apology goes out to you Sam, you know we didn't forget about you. We just do "that" too much. It effects the memory, you know...

Wish you were still in the van buddy. I'll buy you a drink next time I'm in Montreal, and we'll go to Les Princess and have a boner breakfast. I love a man, and that man is you Sam!

Sincerely yours,
-Chris

MASSIVE TOUR UPDATE!
The crowded streets have filtered out and have left Austin, Texas an abandoned looking dustbowl. We survived SXSW 2008. For such a clusterfuck of an event, it did host some amazing, amazing bands. Seeing Dead To Me three days in a row is one of my favourite ways to pass the time. Ours hats are also off to Attack In Black, The Saint Alvia Cartel, RX Bandits, NOFX, The Gaslight Anthem, Whole Wheat Bread and Ill Scarlett for being astute and whole-hearted gentlemen. Thanks to everyone who came out to our show at Red 7 too, we had a blast after driving for days to play. Not as much fun as I had watching NOFX play “Half FX” though. No song played all the way through… that was a sight to see. To our friends Krystal and Steve, you are our favourite Texans ever. Thank you so much for letting us set up camp for days on end!

So, the Fat Tour has indeed come to an end, and we’d like to proclaim our undying love for everyone on that tour. You don’t know what it is to be looked out for and taken care of until you go on tour with these guys. It was the best tour we’ve ever been on, hands down. Thanks HUGE to NOFX and No Use For A Name for bringing us out and being the raddest of people on earth. Thanks to Austin, TX for being one of the best places we’ve ever been. Thanks to the hecklers in Dallas for allowing us to send that shit right back. Thanks to our friend Dave in Oklahoma who put us up night after night in places we would never be able to afford. Thanks to all our friends in Indianapolis for coming out to the house show. Thanks to all our friends in Detroit, Chicago and Minneapolis. Those were three crazy nights! Thanks to The Copyrights and Off With Their Heads for playing with us and being some of the best bands the Midwest has to offer. The last few days of the tour saw hijinx in full swing, with Less Than Jake playing a song in Chicago before NOFX went on for their encore, Matt and Dave from No Use throwing shit at each other all through their set in Minneapolis and never missing a note, and NOFX recruiting Scott and I to play The Decline with them in Detroit and Covington. We’ll be smiling about this our for a while I think.

Check out our small photo album from the Fat Tour on our MySpace:
FAT TOUR PHOTO ALBUM

CANADIANS!!! We've posted the first of more tourdates across Canada in April with soon-to-be-bro's The Rebel Spell. Check out our tour section and come hang with us!

We’re back with our ladylove the road and are on our way from Austin to Chicago to start a tour with The Loved Ones. We’re prepping by listening to Build and Burn over and over again. Do yourself a favour and buy The Loved Ones new record, because it is epic as fuck. We’ll see you soon West Coast, and we can’t fucking wait! Fuck the snow! Fuck the snow!

GREETINGS FROM THE FAT TOUR!
Greetings from the FAT Tour!

We've been pretty lazy the last couple weeks on tour, but we'll hopefully muster up enough ambition and focus to keep a constant tour blog. With the exception of a horrifying experience at Waffle House, we're having a blast with NOFX and No Use For A Name in the South. I went to the hospital for the first time ever on tour the night before the FAT tour came to fruition, so I started the tour feeling like I was going to die. I've felt like I've had a pill stuck in my throat for days, but I'm starting to feel good. Last night's show in Houston saw Tony Sly from No Use For A Name antagonize the crowd with ample beer spitting and middle fingers during NOFX's encore, and oh how amazing it was! Last night also saw Paul sneak onstage and play 'The Brews' with NOFX. No one even realized Smelly had bailed until a quarter-way through the song! He's pretty good. We got our new beer koozies last night too (Thanks Eric and Val!). I stole one for myself immediately. We've been opening all the shows this tour, except for last night when the Latch Key Kids opened. They were awesome, and it was cool playing a bit later than we've gotten used to over the last week or so. Thanks to everyone who've been coming out to the shows early to check us out. We've been overwhelmed with people singing along and showing their support. People throw the most bizarre shit onstage during NOFX's sets; shoes, doll heads, cock rings. It's mayhem. No Use have been playing a new song every night too, and it sounds tighter than Mother Teresa and the thrill of sin.

We're putting together a short video blog of the first few days of the FAT tour to make up for our laziness in written form, so look out for that. We'll also post a bunch of photos from tour very very soon. There's far too much Guinness hanging around at these shows... We're going to be stuck in the van for the next 10 hours so maybe I'll get on that! We just passed a sign for a town called Welfare. The world can be funny from inside a van. Either that, or sheer boredom has taken over. We're driving to the West Texas town of El Paso, where our merch guy Dorian will fall in love with a Mexican girl.

CHECK OUT THE INTERPUNK FAT TOUR CONTEST AND WIN SOME RARE SHIT!!!

CONTEST!CONTEST!CONTEST!

THE FLATLINERS FEATURED IN THIS MONTH'S AP!!!
AP has put together their annual "100 Bands to Watch" list for 2008, and guess who managed to sneak their way into the rag?! THE FLATLINERS! It should be hitting the shelves everywhere soon. I'm not positive when it comes out... Remember, too much Guinness.

NEW SXSW SHOW ADDED!!!
We've just confirmed a new SXSW showcase @ Red 7 on March 13th w/NOFX, Dead To Me, Teenage Bottlerocket and more. The show is all ages and starts at 8 PM. Get there early, because this place is definitely not big enough to fit all the NOFX fans that will be hanging about.

This one's going out to the kid in the front row last night singing all the wrong words to No Use and NOFX songs. Your ability to overlook learning the correct lyrics has brought us hours of laughs!

FEBRUARY 1, 2008
BIG NEWS! EURO TOUR! SXSW! WEST COAST! NEW VIDEO!
Happy February to the cold and miserable! Fists of jealousy are waved at those who live in a place without snow and cold weather. It looks like someone took a giant eraser and got to work around here. We've posted a handful of European tourdates, so check out our tour section if you live East of the Atlantic! We're very excited to (FINALLY!!!) be touring Europe, and to be playing some shows with some good friends will surely be a blast! We'll be doing select dates with Dead To Me, select dates with A Wilhelm Scream and Red Lights Flash, select dates with The Loved Ones, we'll be playing the 2nd day at GROEZROCK, and will also be doing a shitload more with sweet local bands all over the place. There are lots of dates still to come so keep checking back to see when we'll be in your hometown!

We've also been confirmed to play at SXSW Music Festival this year in Austin, Texas. After we roll through town with NOFX and No Use For A Name we're heading right back for more! March 12th @ The Wave (Rooftop - 408 E 6th St) is where we'll be, so please come hang. I'm going to call our friend Steve about crashing with him for a few days so we can check out the whole weekend. There are tons of sweet bands playing this year. We miss you Steve...

To all US West Coast inhabitants, we will see all you motherfuckers in March/April when we tour from Minneapolis to San Francisco with The Loved Ones and Cobra Skulls! Check tour section for more info. More dates are coming too!

LAST!!! We'll be shooting a video this upcoming Tuesday in Toronto for "This Respirator" with director extraordinaire Davin Black. We're extremely stoked to throw this together, and we actually may need some willing people to come be a part of the festivities. We will keep you good and posted on that front.

Shit's good. 2008 is shaping up to be a fucking doozie.

SORRY BATTLE CREEK!
Greetings all, and specifically those who reside in America's high-five (Michigan)...

Unfortunately due to Mother Nature being a 24/7 bitch up here in little old Canada this time of year, and also due to a very backwards and forgetful "tire specialist", we will be missing our show in Battle Creek tonight. We feel like jerks, and are very very sorry. The good news is we took care of that tire specialist... hope he likes the cold. Everyone from Battle Creek should still head over to Andy's house tonight and check out our friends Tin Pan Alley play (their last show). sorry we couldn't be there guys!

We'll see you all high-fivers in Lansing though on Dec 22nd with A Wilhelm Scream and The Swellers though, and we'll raaaaage.

sorry again everyone. fuck winter.

THE LONG AND WINDING DARK ROAD WITH NO LIGHTS ON OUR TRAILER
We're back from another tour. The East Coast of Canada was a blast with Attack in Black, and cross-canada bros, The Saint Alvia Cartel. CMJ and The Fest were A LOT of fun. We saw some old friends, and think we made some new ones, and almost bruxxed someone over a pissed-on t-shirt... Yeah. Thanks to The Lawrence Arms for showing us the greatest wedding video in existence! We met some amazing people on this last tour, people who would let us crash with them and who kept us so comfortable. You are the reason touring is fun!

A CHEESY UNION JOKE...
...is a good union joke, but a bad joke in general, so I thought we'd just leave it out. Much to our disappointment, the Union Tour has come to an end. For the past 3 weeks we traveled across Canada with The Toasters, The Saint Alvia Cartel and The Peacocks and had a fucking blast throughout. We were reunited with some old friends, and made a lot of new ones, so THANKS HUUUUUGE to all the bands, everyone at the shows, and Matt Collyer and Mike Magee at ULG for throwing the whole thing together. It was great to get back to some cities we hadn't visited in a while and see some familiar faces. I think we're all going to move to Switzerland and smoke cigarettes all day long with Hassu from The Peacocks though. The Flatliners have fizzled out and can now be seen professionally sucking tar all day long. Boo ya!

With "thank yous" come "fuck yous", I suppose. A GIGANTIC "FUCK YOU" goes out to the sketchy folk in Winnipeg who broke into our van and made off with little more than our video camera. Next time you smash a window with a screw driver, you subhuman piece of trash, I wouldn't leave it inside the van. Truth.

A HUGE and overdue thanks goes to our hombres in Hostage Life for lending us Jonathan Trailer Thomas. You would not believe this guy’s stories about Tim Allen’s long-lasting coke addiction! There’s such substance to them… Yes, terrible puns ARE a specialty.

We filmed a video for "Eulogy" on a day off from the Union Tour, and we're very stoked! The four of us are now officially established film stars because of this, so expect commonplace celebrity-type bitching and moaning from the four of us while in public from now on. Apologies in full and in advance... Either way, we'll let you know when you can check out the finished cut and start requesting that shit like it's your job to television companies who will allow us to show our faces on screen!

If you're going to Halifax Pop Explosion, CMJ or The Fest you'll be able to catch us there! If you live on the Eastern seaboard of Canada or the United States, you'll be able to catch us there! And like I said above, if you have a TV you'll be able to catch us there too.

WE'RE ON TOUR!!!
Oct 15 | Moncton, NB @ The Paramount
Oct 16 | Fredericton, NB @ Capital Bar
Oct 17 | Charlottetown, PEI @ Murphys Community Center
Oct 19 | Halifax, NS @ The Pavilion (HALIFAX POP EXPLOSION)
Oct 20 | Brooklyn @ The Hook – FAT CMJ SHOWCASE
Oct 23 | Spartanburg, SC @ Ground Zero
Oct 24 | Charleston, SC @ Cumberlands
Oct 25 | Jacksonville, FL @ Landshark Cafe
Oct 27 | Gainesville, FL @ THE FEST VI
Oct 29 | Stuart, FL @ Cruisers Tavern
Oct 30 | Ft Pierce, FL @ Stage East
Nov 01 | Charlotte, NC @ The Milestone
Nov 02 | Trenton, NJ @ 449 Room

***and way more dates to come so keep checking back***

We're very sorry to announce that we've had to cancel our show in Sydney, NS and our trip to Newfoundland due to unforeseen circumstances. We hope we can make it up to all the amazing people stoked for the shows, because we definitely were too. Thanks to everyone who's picked up The Great Awake! Our love is STRONG, and not in a NAMBLA kind of way.

THE GREAT AWAKE HITS STORES TODAY!
Today is the day ladies and gentleman. We're celebrating the release of our brand new record The Great Awake today, and with that comes a brand new fucking website. As always, still some bugs to work out and sections to be added to, but take it ease and we'll get around to them one day. Shit. The Great Awake is available in stores everywhere today, and online in a fully legal way. I know... What a drag, huh? With today being what day it in fact is, and our CD release shows coming up quickly we can't get rid of these stupid looking shit-eating grins. We've been living and breathing this new record for about a year now, and to finally have it out in stores and available to all of you, turns us into little boys. Littler boys than we already are.

You can get yourself a copy of The Great Awake from any of these fine people below:

FAT WRECK CHORDS
UNION LABEL GROUP
INTERPUNK.COM
SMARTPUNK.COM
AMAZON.COM

And remember, there's a limited run of The Great Awake on orange 12" vinyl. Also, we want you to let us know if you can't find our record somewhere. If there's a record store you love and always go to, and you can't find our record there, we want to know!

If you can't find our record, email us @ band@theflatliners.com

If you live in the Toronto area, tune in to Edge 102 FM tomorrow (Wed Sept 5th) @ 6:15 PM to hear Chris and the notorious Bookie shoot the shit.

Today is a good day, we hope you all have a good one.

FEBRUARY 29, 2008
